Expreso Norte is a company of Intercity buses operating in the North of Chile for more than 40 years.Expreso Norte covers the most important routes from Santiago to the North of the country and has its own terminals in the most largest cities of the region. Currently, Expreso Norte offers passages to the cities of Santiago, Ovalle, Coquimbo, Ovalle, La Serena and Copiapó among others. On the Santiago a La Serena, Expreso Norte competes directly with Tur Bus, Pullman Bus and Ciktur. In Santiago, the buses of Expreso Norte depart from Terminal San Borja.

Seat categories of Expreso Norte

Expreso Norte offers the following categories of seat:

-Semi cama: Seats with a maximum recline of 60°, tray support for feet, air conditioning / heating, TV / DVD, pillow and blankets, along with auxiliary service.

- Salón Cama: Soft seats with a maximum recline of 65° (Salón Cama). Including service on board and breakfast for long distance trips, pillows, blankets and tray support for feet

Security

The ministry of transport and telecomunication evaluates every 6 months the security of Expreso Norte. According to the Ranking "Ranking N° 10 de Infracciones cursadas a Buses Interurbanos del Ministerio de Transportes y Telecomunicaciones" (Spanish content only) the company has a violation rate average (last 4 rankings) of 24,2%.
